Will I be able to get a refund after the Kickstarter ends?

This is a tricky situation, as once we have the money from Kickstarter, we’ll be spending it on art, manufacturing and dice. However, if you request a refund… • Within the first 2 weeks: yes, we can offer you a full refund.
• After that: Yes, but note that the refund will be minus KS fee (approx. 10%), taxes (20%) and (if we’ve already imported backers to the Pledge Manager) a PM fee of 10%.
• Once manufacturing of the physical book is commissioned: No, sorry.

When will digital/PDF rewards be fulfilled?

Is it our intension to make the digital rewards available a little in advance of going to print, to give backers the chance to spot any typos that our proof-readers may have overlooked (did you spot the deliberate typo in this sentence???). We will not be fulfilling digital core books until this time to avoid any confusion in part-fulfilling backer rewards.

How do I get add-ons?

When selecting a pledge tier, Kickstarter will direct you to a list of add-ons that can be selected. These can be changed later by clicking ‘manage my pledge’. Once the campaign is over, we will invite you to our pledge management software, where you will be able to confirm these add-ons and also pick additional items if required.

Is there a shipping charge?

Yes. Please see the shipping section on the campaign page for details. We’ll be charging shipping post-campaign via the pledge manager, closer to the time that we are ready to ship. This means we can charge you an accurate up-to date shipping value without needing to over-estimate. A rough estimate of shipping charges is quoted in the shipping section. Of course, PDF-only pledges will not attract a shipping charge.

Will you be using a pledge manager?

Absolutely. Using a pledge manager allows us to not charge shipping during the campaign (see the shipping section on the campaign page for more info on why this is a good thing) and to better handle the collection of your address and any add-ons you may want. You will be emailed a link to access the pledge manager sometime after the campaign ends, but we’ll talk much more about this at the time via campaign updates.

Will I be able to upgrade my pledge in the pledge manager after the campaign?

Yes. Please note that the pledge manager will allow your pledge tier to be upgraded (such as from PDF to physical), but not downgraded (you can’t go from physical to PDF).

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
