UK Games Expo 2023

Hi all,

Just a quick update to let you know that we'll be at the UK Games Expo at the Birmingham NEC from June 2nd - 4th. We'll have physical copies of The Gaia Complex, Hardware 2119, dice and art packs, and Kendo Koala and Friends, as well as a few other items. If you're going to be at the show, then please pop by and say hi!

Happy new year & the future of The Gaia Complex

Hi all,

Happy new year!!

Yeah, I know, I'm a bit late saying that, but the truth is I've been super buys - my daughter was born on Boxing Day as life has been an absolute blur since! So, please excuse me for not checking in sooner.

Now the formalities are out of the way, I can confirm that this campaign has officially concluded, with the last copies (other than two backers that I've been unable to contact) being delivered just before Christmas. Given current economic climates and freight industry struggles, I'm going to consider fulfilling a few months early a victory!

We genuinely hope that you're enjoying the book(s) and that they bring you some awesome tabletop adventures. That fact that The Gaia Complex has a growing audience means more than you can possibly imagine.

So, what comes next?

I had previously announced another game coming in the near future - Rectify - and I can confirm this is quickly approaching. Rectify is not connected to The Gaia Complex, but is a game I'm very excited (and a little anxious) about releasing. Rectify will be followed by another smaller game that I can't wait to show off: Kendo Koala and Friends. Yup, it's as fun as the title sounds. Both of these releases will be complete at the time the campaign ends, allowing for immediate print and fulfilment.

With regards to The Gaia Complex, the next book is well under way! Evolution by Design is currently around 30% and we're really excited to be able to show you the cover art...

The following is the proposed back cover text for the book, which should give you a good insight to what it's all about:

Few can dispute that Gaia; Hansor Innovations' shining star of artificial intelligence, is primarily responsible for humanity thriving in New Europe. But life in 2120 is about more than the human race. Ferals interface with the wild beasts of the metropolis, running free through the rain-soaked streets, vampires lurk in the shadows of the Outer Fringe, waging a deadly blood war against rival syndicates, and Gaia conducts secret experiments as the New Europe police force deploy a wave of advanced law enforcement units to the metropolis' streets.

Evolution by Design provides an in-depth look at the game's three significant 'non-human' elements: ferals, vampires and artificial intelligence. This insight explores:

• Feral hangouts and regular meeting places, activist groups, the Circadian Network and other secret organisations.
• Vampire Blood Syndicates and the conflict between them, the forming of vampire-controlled human armies, as well as new developments and evolutions in the vampire threat.
• A disturbing insight to Gaia's current research focus, a look at rival AIs, an insight to advancements and new deployments in the New Europe police force, and the introduction of commercial A.I. subscriptions.

This book also provides a large number of new rules and GM tools to facilitate information broking and blood trade transactions, using bitter enemies, tracking a team’s most wanted status with the police, new vampiric abilities, police hardware, a range of additional NPCs and a number of Data Seeds themed to the content of this book. Evolution by Design offers new and profound insights to both players and GMs of The Gaia Complex.

US Fulfilment Update

Hi all,

Just a quick update for our patient US backers...

I am super excited to announce that not only has the pallet of US stock arrived, it has cleared customs, been delivered to the fulfilment centre, been picked, packed, AND should be collected by USPS later today!

Yup, US backer pledges are on the way to you!

I have been warned that there may be some slight delays to local mail deliveries in certain areas over the coming week, as a result of mid-term elections, but some backers can expect to see rewards landing from Monday onwards and pending no major delays, most backers should see them by the end of next week (or early the following week). If you're in Alaska, Hawaii, or another harder-to-deliver-to locations, please give us a little longer to make sure your rewards arrive.

Thank you all once again for your patience. I'll make a final update in a couple of weeks to round off the end of the project, once I know everyone has their books.
